Sunny, with a chance of Heartache.
Re: Sunny, with a chance of Heartache.
As the drink bubbled into his mouth and down into the deep, Johnathan noticed he was being spoken to. He turned, and smiled even wider. "Always good to have a buddy when it comes to this." Right now, it was the simple life; no worries about a war, people dying. He hoped he wouldn't come out spoiled from this. Then again, who knew?

Ruze smiled again, this one of approval and genuine gladness. "No wonder I've got my work cut out for me. Very well. First to three, I say. Sound good?" He gave a quick glance around, his eyes darting from person to person. Quite a few had taken interest, but that wasn't really important. This fight- no, he wouldn't call it that... this sparring match was a good one. Dilshod had been scrabbling with other boys- and even on rare occasions, girls- since the earliest days of his childhood. Perhaps that was because he came from a poor place and lived among poor folks who had to create their own forms of entertainment during what few hours they had for leisure. Naturally, the children took to competing amongst themselves, and that desire to test himself against others physically had never left Pilot Ivlivinevya after all these years. Furthermore, it had been a few years since he'd been afforded the opportunity to wrestle someone of such strength and in such a relaxed atmosphere. Things truly couldn't have been better.
Arcadia took a brief moment to analyze the pair of girls in question, evaluating the features that were so concerning to them. Frankly, she couldn't see why. "So strange. They have naturally wonderful bodies." Actually, all of Teal seemed rather naturally gifted in terms of physical assets, though there was a fair variety among them. She realized that she may have also disturbed the wrathful mood that was slowly growing. So, with a pointed finger aiming at the sky, she changed the topic. "BUT! They're still quite a pair of mischief makers, and I do believe some measure of retaliation is in order..." After some thinking, she looked up at Elfriede. "Well it's your vendetta. I think you have final say, and I'm game for whatever as long as we're being friendly pranksters."

The male pilot duck back into the water to try and avoid the splash, but that didn't do much and the splash still made contact. Steven smiled a bit before throwing back a small splash of his own. “Well known? People talk about me? I’m flattered,†asked Steven as he was genuinely curious. I thought the only person who talked about me was Ben in the dining hall when he complains about me, he thought. “And this is actually my first time at a beach. I grew up in a small town on a small moon in a small system. I didn’t have many opportunities to go swimming outside of gym class.â€
“Firs’ ta three? Sounds good ta me,†Fred agreed. The Irishman was also enjoying himself. It had been quite a while since he had taken part in a good sparring match. Been a while since he wrestled in the water, so he was a bit rusty, but working with a handicap made it more fun. Once satisfied he began to advance on Ruze’s left flank.

"Right, right. Nothing too serious." said Elfriede with a very thoughtful look on her face. "Though... what should it be? My mind is drawing a bl-AUGH!" hopped Elfriede as he leg rose suddenly from the water, kicking a large splash of water forward. Latched tightly onto her toe, was a hermit-crab, shell and all. It's pincer was tightly secured around the woman's pinky toe. The German woman grabbed the crab and yanked it off, almost throwing it back into the waves. At mid-throw she stopped, and looked at the pinching menace with curiosity, then malice. "Ah ha..." sounded Elfriede, a dark grin spreading on her face as she looked to Allison.
Sparing no time, Elfriede bent over at the waist to reach down into the water, and with great luck, found another crab trying to scuttle away. "It seems we have my pay-back." grinned the woman, holding the freshly picked crab out to Arcadia, "Here, put this in Allison's swimsuit, and I'll put mine in Miyuki's."
"WHAT?" was Betty's response to Steven, a shrill of disbelief at such a declaration. "This is your first time at the beach? I can't believe it!" Even if it was a common thing for some people, a person like her refused to accept it. "You've never made a sand-castle? Or... went body-surfing...? Not even beach volleyball?"

After being ignored, Evey just stood and stared, about chest-deep in the water. She was not used to being ignored, because, although she did not often seek attention, the times that she had were always met with such. And yet here she was, obviously seeking attention and being ignored. The AI puffed herself up, a sharp intake of breath expanding her slight form by a small margin, and then charged at the overly tall Irishman, latching onto his leg and yelling something indiscernible, that could possibly have been Irish, but was mixed with too many other languages to make much sense.

A rainbow appeared as Johnathan hastily spat out the beer he was drinking out of surprise. He'd been keeping an eye everyone carefully, like and unlike how he watched his younger siblings. The FNG's eyes had settled on Evey last; why, he didn't know, but was curious as to why she wasn't playing with the others. His gaze intensified and focused on her the more she just sat there in the water doing nothing. And then she leaped at Fred like a puppy and completely surprised him.
Hence, why Johnathan was spitting out rainbows.

"Having trouble there?" said Hetzer as a beer rainbow shined past him, nearly spraying his trunks. He looked at the wasted beer in front of him, before looking back at Johnathan, not quite sure what he was looking at, past the little girl screaming in a foreign tongue. "Did you just spit rainbows?"
Re: Sunny, with a chance of Heartache.
He coughed up the very last bits of rainbow before answering Hetzer. "Just - cough, cough - got caught by surprise. I was watching Evey doing nothing, and then she's now suddenly BAM! You know?" Johnathan put down the empty beer bottle and sighed. It was good beer wasted, true, but there was more where that came from. As he grabbed another cold one.
"You know, I think I did spit rainbows. Who would have thought?"

Steven withdrew slightly and looked as like a kid being accused. “Well, no. Never made a sandcastle and I’m not really sure what bodysurfing is, but I have played volleyball just not on the beach. I am pretty good at it actually,†he said to Betty as he tried to redeem himself.
Fred stopped where he was as he felt his left leg suddenly get heavier. He lifted the leg and its passenger up to the surface of the water, and looked down at Evelyn who had wrapped herself around his leg. “Um, can I help ya, lassy?†asked Fred with a slightly confused look on his face. He looked back to Ruze and gave a small shrug.

Re: Sunny, with a chance of Heartache.
Evey looked up at Fred's inquiring face as he asked her if she needed any help, and then puffed up her little face again, before yelling "YOU!" *Punch* "IGNORED!" *Punch* "ME!" *PUNCH*. As she yelled, each punch landed directly on the side of his knee, that human weak point that no amount of strength could stop from causing his knee to buckle. Evey jumped off as the Irishman started collapsing, making a face at him and blowing a raspberry, before splashing his face and beginning to run off, calling out something that distinctly sounded like "doodiehead"
